About the Author

Dorothy Kelley Patterson serves as professor of theology in women’s studies at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Patterson has authored a number of books and articles, including: Touched by Greatness: Women in the Life of Moses, The Handbook for Ministers’ Wives, The Family: Unchanging Principles for Changing Times and several others.

The NIV, The Woman's Study Bible: Receiving God's Truth for Balance, Hope, and Transformation has all the features of a good study bible. Each book begins with explanations about the title, author, date, background, purpose and literary characteristics. It also talks about the theme of the book and provides an outline.

The bible is sturdy and the font size is readable. It is very easy to read and the maps are beautifully illustrated. The use of full colour throughout makes this bible enjoyable to navigate.
