Book Description

Who is the handsome cowboy who comes into small town Marietta’s chocolate shop every week to buy a box of chocolates? More importantly…who is he buying the chocolates for? These are the questions sales clerk Rosie Linn asks herself as she waits for her sadly neglected childhood home to sell so she can pursue an exciting new career in L.A.

Rosie finds out the answers the day rugged ranch hand Brant Willingham introduces himself and asks for her help in managing the care of his younger sister. Brant’s mother has recently died, leaving him the sole guardian of eighteen-year-old Sara Maria–who has been a puzzle to Brant ever since she began exhibiting signs of autism at age two.

Rosie and Brant come up with a plan. She’ll help with his sister if he handles repairs and a new paint job for her old house. It seems the perfect solution, but a new dilemma is created when the couple start spending time together. Brant discovers he doesn’t want Rosie to sell and leave, and Rosie fears she will have to choose between love and her dreams.

My Review

Melt My Heart, Cowboy is the first book in Tule Publishing's Love at the Chocolate Shop Book series by author CJ Carmichael. I think this is going to be a great series based up on Melt My Heart, Cowboy.

I have been a fan of Carmichael's previous novels featuring the Carrigan family. In Melt My Heart, Cowboy, Rosie the main characters works at Sage Carrigan's chocolate shop in Marietta, Montana. She stayed in Marietta for years to assist with her father's care. Now she just needs to sell the family home and head to LA where her older brother has a job awaiting her as a screenwriter. But the house has not been selling as it needs some fixing up.

Enter cowboy Brant who is a regular customer at the chocolate shop. He and Rosie strike up a deal where he will help with fixing up her house and she helps with his autistic sister. It is win win for both of them until Rosie realizes that her future may lie in Marietta not LA. Will she stay or will she go?

Great tale. I was crying by the end. Always a good sign in a good romance. Well written.

Highly recommend Melt My Heart, Cowboy. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
