My Review
Do you love chocolate? Then you will love love love this cozy mystery! Criminal Confections is a new mystery series by author Collette London. This is going to be a fabulous series. A chocolate whisperer...who knew?
I like the main character, Hayden Mundy Moore, however the plot is moved along by the means of knowing every thought that enters her head. Can be a little exhausting at times. I think more back story would be helpful. Hayden has inherited a lot of money and needs to keep moving all the time....why? Also, why hasn't she met her financial advisor face-to-face? That would worry me some...
I liked the setting which was across the bay from San Francisco. I would have loved to be at the chocolate themed retreat Hayden was attending. Everything from the food to the spa services were chocolate inspired.
The mystery part of Criminal Confections was interesting. It took me quite a while to figure out the murderer. I think I spent too much time wondering if the two men in her life were after her money.
This is going to be a good cozy series. Be sure to pick up a copy of Criminal Confections.
I love the idea of a Chocolate whisperer! This sounds like a great book! I can't wait to see what wonderful places these books will take us to! Oh of course what wonderful new chocolate recipes will be in the books!
